Abilities

Military Technical Institute plays an important and irreplaceable role within the defense sector of the Czech Republic. It is the stable state enterprise with a long tradition and safe and unique technical and technological base.

VTÚ satisfies the strategic and other essential interests of the Czech Republic in the field of defense and security, the development of the capabilities of the Army of the Czech Republic and other armed security forces and the integrated rescue system.

As part of its activities, both industrial and commercial, VTÚ contributes to ensuring defense and security of the Czech Republic and also fulfills the obligations arising from the state’s membership in NATO and the EU.

The primary capabilities of the state enterprise include the implementation of research and development, prototype production, testing and modernization of armaments and technology, including the preparation of studies and analyzes for the benefit of the Czech Army and other armed security forces and integrated rescue system.
